Chase had spring break this week, so we took off to Sandusky OH to the Great Wolf Lodge! It is about 60 miles away and it's a hotel with a water park inside. We went with a couple of our friends the Barnums, Welch's, Cowdens, and Flemmings, and had a great time! There was a baby area with little slides for babies (and where my water fearing children spent a majority of their time:). Then there was a pool with b ball hoops and a big blow up snake. There was a kid area with kid slides, where Ty and Hallster actually spent about the last hour of our time there. Then there were a few bigger tube slides for all of the older kids and adults. There was a lazy river, and a hot tub also. If it was up to Tyler he would have stayed in the hot tub the ENTIRE time, he cracks me up.

Tyler and Halle posing in the kiddy pool, we spent a lot of time here. Halle kept telling us that "gwandpa need a spwash me in da pool," followed by "and gwandma need a come too." She associates pools and hotels with your latest visit mom and dad!

Tyler going down one of the kid slides, he is about as long as the whole slide:) He did get brave and go down a few slightly bigger ones.

Halle on the playground. There was this huge playground/jungle gym type of a thing with water spraying out all over the place that the kids could play on. There was a HuGe bucket of water at the very top of the playground that would fill up with water. When you heard the bell start dinging you would see a herd of people rushing over to stand under it to get DuMpEd on! When we heard the dinging my kids would make sure they were nowhere in the vacinity of the dumping bucket water:)

Chase with Ty and Halle floating on the lazy river which was VeRy lazy and slow. Halle thought she was so big getting to sit on the tube and hang on all by herself. Tyler just liked it because it was slow and water didn't get into his eyes:)
We had such a great time with our family and friends, it was just a perfect little getaway! We plan on making it a spring break tradition every year!!!

WOW!! That place really does look AWESOME! What a fun getaway:) I loved Tyler's pose in the kiddy pool..haha he cracks me up:) And Halle's little skirt was so adorable. I can't get over how big they are getting! I think I'd run away from the HUGE bucket of water too!:) I'm glad you had good time...hope we can see you soon:)
It sounds like your kids may be a little afraid of water...maybe that was just my interpretation...who knows!?!
This looks so fun! It's pretty funny that your kids are afraid of the water. :) They are cute. I think taking a yearly vacation sounds great!
So fun! If only that could be outside in like 90 degree tempetures right? Glad you guys got a little get away!
That place looks awesome. Count us in for Spring Break next year :) okay, but for real if we come visit we vote we go there with you guys! The kids look so cute. I love Halle's little pose, if I could look that cute in a swimsuit I would pose that exact same way! As long as they had fun- doesn't matter what slide they went down, right? Actually, I would be the mom bribing my kids to stay in the baby section! Glad you had a blast.
love, misti
ps- Chase, you could use some sun.
love Chad
That looks like such a fun place! Maybe the Bighorn Resort in Billings will rival it (ha ha). We are so glad that you will be here this summer and are looking forward to seeeing all of you!
Looks like so much fun! I really wanted to go this year, but we decided we better not! It looks like you guys had so much fun! :)
How fun! I'm sure it was so nice for Chase to have week off so you could all spend some time together. Seriously, I have the world's cutest nieces and nephews! ~Lacee
looks like you had a good time, and the best part you didn't have to wear any sunscreen:)
So fun! Not quite like Big Splash though :). It was good to chat for awhile yesterday. I hope you figure out the housing dilemma. Good Luck! See you soon!!!!!!
Fun Krista! I'm so glad your family has discovered Great Wolf! Isn't it a great place for family fun?! Such cute pictures.
I can't believe how big Halle is getting. I haven't blogged for awhile so . . . Happy Birthday Tyler! I am so impressed with your snake cake! The kids were adorable in their Easter outfits and I'm so glad you had fun on Chase's Spring Break! It sounds like we might be getting together this summer while you're at mom and dad's. So hope to see you guys soon before your kids get any bigger! love ya,
Kara
How fun! Tyler sounds like my oldest :). That's probably why we've never even been there. But seeing how much fun you guys had there makes me wish we'd braved it!
That looks like so much fun! It's fun to get away! I can't beleive how big your kids are!
Oh I forgot to wish you Happy Anniversary and I was going to ask you what you had planned. Sorry I spaced it on our drive. Happy Anniversary--- 7 years!
Sorry I interrupted with visiting teaching.
Krista, I don't know if you'll check your blog while your gone...but we have Chase's scriptures. He left them in class the last Sunday you were here...so I have them in our bedroom in a safe place! Tell him not to worry!
Hey just because you're in Billings, it does not mean you can totally abandon you blog! ~Lacee
That looks like such a fun place! What a perfect getaway - not too far, but enough to feel like a vacation. Your kiddos are so cute. Looks like you all had a blast!
That looks like so much fun. Your kids are just so cute. There was a hotel/waterpark near where we used to live that i always wanted to try, and now we aren't close anymore, seeing that makes me wish we had tried!
