Yesterday Tyler came home from school and told me they had started talking a lot about leaves. He ran into the house and straight into the backyard picking up different leaves, then plopped them all down on the kitchen table showing them to us. We put a piece of paper over the leaves and rubbed over the top with a crayon to make a leaf picture, they really thought that was fun. Tyler then asked if he could rake the leaves in the backyard, and I was more than happy to get him a rake and let him have at it. He raked and raked and raked! He kept shouting into the house for us to not look out the window until he was done. He was out there for over an hour just raking away. The other day he got run over literally by two big boys on their bike and got pretty scraped up on his elbow and knee (you can kind of see his bandages) which didn't make the raking any easier. I was so proud of him for keeping after his job he started, I just love this little boy:)!

Here is the big pile of leaves Tyler had when he was all done! Way to go bud!!

Heres what Halle did while Tyler raked:) She started helping Ty rake for awhile but I'm pretty sure he shooed her away after she messed up his pile one to many times! She loves this sand box, and despite sand everywhere (in their hair, clothes, in the house, really everywhere) it is worth it for the fun they have in it...it just means extra sweeping and a gritty tub:)

I just thought I would add these last 2 pics. This is a tutu (spelling anyone?) we made for Halle awhile ago. She has no dress up clothes and it is her favorite thing to do! We will be raiding all stores after Halloween for dress ups, if anyone wants to join me.

She loves this tutu and wears it all the time. She tells me she is so special and a princess everyday, and she is! I hope she never forgets it:) My friend gave Halle these little ballet slippers that her little girl never got around to wearing, so cute...thanks Audrey!!

That is awesome that Tyler is such a good helper!!! I felt so bad for him when i saw you guys the other day after he got hit. Did he have to get stitches? How bad was it?We need to get together since we are just down the street...and anna too, and bridi and audrey and stephanie and bridgette...holycow..haha...i didn't realize there were so many of us just down the street from each other! I will have to clean and give you guys a call! We can have a block party. :)
Man, you should hire out Tyler's raking abilities and I'm sure you could make some $$! What a tough guy! Halle is beyond adorable, I love her tutu! Rylee has one and loves it as well, she's going to be a ballerina for Halloween!
Oh Tyler, you are such a sweetie! We miss that little boy and our little Halle! I heard about Tyler's little accident, those dang older boys! Sounds like he is a trooper.
We mailed your package yesterday so hopefully it will be there in a few days. Thanks for your help with it!
Oh Krista I just love seeing and "hearing" your updates but at the same time makes my heart ache that we can't see you when ever we want to!:( Way to go Ty man for rakin them leaves, and I can't believe he got ran over by those boys! Hallster looks SO cute in here tutu, good job making it! (by the way I was just at our dollar store and they had a TON of things for halloween that I thought would be great for dress up...and so much cheaper than the $20 princess dresses everywhere else) I wish we had a sand box...now that we Finally have grass the girls don't know what to do with it, at least they could shovel the dirt before!:) Love you guys!
Your kids are so cute! I wish my boys would volunteer to rake the leaves! I can't believe how old Halle is getting. She looks so big!

Kiss your sweet kiddos for us.
Your kids are growing up so fast! I can hadly believe Tyler is already in school. I love fall days when the kids can enjoy the afternoon outside!

way to go, ty! carsen just started making his bed...it's so nice to have the boys getting old enough to be helpful :).
and amen to the sandbox whoas...we have one and i love it and hate it all at the same time. my rule is that if they play it in longer than it takes me to clean it up, it's ok...otherwise, i guess it's not.
So sad that those boys ran over Tyler, poor guy! That's so awesome that he raked up you leaves. I love Halle's dress-up clothes! ~Lacee
