Two of my most FAVORITE people, my mom and dad, I LOVE you!!!! We got to do so many fun things on their trip out to Cleveland. Here is the very brief rundown ( I tried posting this a minute ago in much more detail and then somehow navigated away from the page and lost it all so this will be less detailed:) On Wed night when the fam got into town we went to eat at the Cheesecake factory, yum! Thursday we went to Kirtland and saw the Kirtland Temple, NK Whitney store, Whitney home, school of the prophets, and visitors center. It was so awesome to feel the spirit of Kirtland (only 25 min away from our house if anyone is thinking of visiting:) That night we ate at Brio a really yummy Italian restaurant mmmmmmmm! On Friday we went to Cosco and loaded up (thanks mom and dad:) and that's when the worst storm in 25 years started, seriously, if you think MT gets a lot of snow OH put it to shame!! We were pretty much snowed in for the rest of that day, but it was so fun hanging with the fam, and the kids loved the attention! Saturday everyone went to the Cleveland Cavaliers B ball game to see LEBRON!! The kids got to swim at the hotel and eat pizza which we all thought was really fun. Halle is still talking about gwandpa splashing her in the pool:) Sunday church was cancelled due to the wild blizard outside, so we got to spend more time with our fam. This post doesn't even start to describe what a great time we had with them, and we miss them terribly!!! WE LOVE YOU!

Me and my cute sisters Camille on the left and Chloe on the right, we were so happy they got to come out to Cleveland!!!!!

While everyone was at the game, Halle and I made smoothie popscicles, carrot and spinach puree (I'll have to explain that one on a different post) and chocolate strawberries. She ended up having an ear infection and pink eye in both eyes, she looks pathetic, but really acted pretty happy.

This picture was taken in the school of the prophets. The back wall is the original wall, so we in a sense got to rub shoulders with many of the former prophets of the church! Since we were the only ones on this tour, they gave our family time to be in this room together alone, there is an amazing spirit about this place especially when you stop to think about all that happened here!!

The Newell K Whitney store

Me, Ty, and Halle in front of the Kirtland temple. We sure missed Chase who was at school and had to miss out.

Tyler and Halle in front of the Kirtland Temple.

This girl has some serious hops! I'm pretty sure this was Halle getting all riled up because gma and gpa were here!

Everyone was pretty excited to go to this game to watch LEBRON, he's the
MAN! Chloe and Camille don't play basketball, watch basketball, talk about
basketball, or even really care about it, but they were pumped to watch
LEBRON!
Chase and Tyler at the game! Tyler got to eat a hot dog, cotton candy, popcorn, pop, what's not to love? When the Cavs scored 100 points they told the audience that everyone would get a free chalupa from Taco Bell. Ty thought he would get his chalupa at that moment plus he thought it was a toy, and cried about it the whole way home:)

What a cute family I have!! How fun..I must admit I'm totally jealous! Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun:) The whole Lebron craze cracks me up! Poor sweet Halle looked like she was having a rough day:( Looks like you got the Deceptively Delicious cookbook. Mom got me that for my birthday and we've had fun trying all the recipes...you'll have to let me know which ones you like! Glad you had a fun time with the fam! Love ya!:)
Is that cookbook the one by Sienfelds wife? A girl in my ward tried the Chicken nuggets recipe and her fam ate like MAD.
What a fun time to have with your fam. I'm jealous of all the sites you live by, reminds me of our pageant days. See it all while you guys are out there.
Mitch and I went to a Sonics game and they too gave away chalupas. We were pumped.
FUN! Isn't it nice when family comes to visit when you are so far away?! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun.

Krista,
We just got back last night. I talked to mom for a minute and she told me how fun the trip was. I'm so glad it was a fun week. I got the cookbook too, so when you talked about carrot purree I totally got ya! Anyway, I will try to blog our trip, but I have a literal mountain of luggage to unload today so we'll see when it happens! love ya. kara
That is so fun that your parents got to visit! It looked like you guys had a great time. Bummer about all the snow, but cool that everyone got to see Lebron. I'm not too into sports, but even I would have been excited about that. And, the church sites looked awesome.
That looks like so much fun! I had no idea you guys were that close to Kirkland. I've never really been to any historic church sites. You must have got the smoothy idea from Deceptively Delicious? How did they turn out?
How fun Krista! I'm so glad your family was able to come for a visit. Isn't it fun to take them everywhere and show them everything?
Oh, love the Bennions! I bet you guys had such a blast (even if Chase was at school!) You look so cute with bangs, I've probably told you that before, just wanted to tell you again!
Krista, I'm going to give this another try. As you know I'm kind of computer illiterate!! I tried posting you a note the other day and it didn't go through!! Big surprise, I know! It was so fun to see the kids and you and Chase through your blog! That was a memorable trip, and soo fun! We miss you all!! Post pictures again, okay?? How was Easter? lt was nice to have Claire home for the week-end. You know how Chloe and Camille love more people being around!! Can't wait to see you all again. We're counting the days!! love, mom p.s. glad Halle's feeling better!!
How fun to have your family come visit. It's so reminiscent of trips my own parents took to cleveland. there was so much fun stuff to do! I remember before we moved my mom saying how it was fun to think of doug and cindy visiting you guys in the very same place that they visited us. Glad you guys had so much fun!
